a few more shots from Grand Cayman Island. such a fun and relaxing vacay. if you ever make it to the island, here is a list of must-do's:
~stay at the Ritz. it sits on the prettiest part of 7 mile beach and has everything you need from restaurants to water sports. the restaurants (Seven and Taikun) are among some of the best on the island. it's a great place to bring kids.
~definitely order a pina colada and a mahi mahi sandwich at Bar Jack. i'm not usually one for frozen drinks but this one it just. too. good.
~dine at Calypso outside at a table by the water. order the famous sticky toffee pudding. the service is incredible and the fish is fresh and delicious. this is a must.
~have dinner at Eduardo's and order the mussels. delish! the restaurant sits in the back behind a bar that turns into a nightclub. it's a little misleading but once you tuck around back into the restaurant it opens to a fabulous stone hideaway that resembles an Italian osteria.
~head to Havana club for local live music (call before to make sure there is a band lined up). be sure to note the colorful artwork on the walls by a local artist. i couldn't leave without one.
~have Sunday brunch at Luca.
~rent a catamaran for the day and head to Sting Ray City with a stop over at Rum Point.
enjoy!
one of my all time favorite island outfits, by Australian based brand Stylestalker. hard to stare at a computer screen after 5 days in paradise, and confused as to why i am not being served pina coladas at 11am.
paired with Dolce Vita Archer sandals.
more photos soon!
i have a major collective crush on power couple Parisa and Max Fowles-Pazdro and their super chic and modern design aesthetic. from their sleek abode in the Hollywood Hills to their well constructed and impeccably tailored line of womenswear, i am feeling very inspired by their lifestyle in it's entirety.
tuxedo shirts as dresses, tucked into leather skirts and paired with leather skinnies all. day. long.
head over to Refinery 29 to read their interview and find out more about what makes this duo so alluring.
shop it here and on Moda Operandi.
currently investigating a spring splurge. after drowning in dress shopping and surfacing completely dissatisfied, i have confidently decided that these two separates from my beloved A. Wang will serve me beautifully this season. the rope effect on the back of this knit is too incredible and i am completely in love with the fish-line detail he worked into this otherwise ordinary pair of black boy shorts, among other pieces in this collection.
i tried to pretend for a while that black wasn't my favorite color. pfff, sha right.
what are you splurging on this season?
ASOS shorts // Opening Ceremony lace blouse // Burberry sandals
stepping out the other night to meet Alice + Olivia designer Stacey Bendet and watch The Dolls perform straight off of SXSW. note to self: hot chicks in cute clothes playing unique instruments equals awesome girl band. loving my striped ASOS shorts for spring. must purchase in plum too.
wore this outfit to a crawfish boil this saturday - spring has sprung! loving the cali weather here in H-town right now. kind of living in these Nike Sky High Dunks. height and comfort - who knew? it's also fun to wear them with ladylike dresses for a little something completely unexpected.
