my day would be complete if i could just have at least one of these pieces from jennifer behr. i'd prefer the encrusted crystals on silk chiffon and i'd channel richie's ethereal look with winged eyeliner and soft waves. of course, i'd happily settle for a patent leather neon orchid or an overlapping crystal twist.

today all i can seem to think about is taking a vacation. while i am yearning for white sandy beaches, i am still amped up for a trip to san miguel next month. one of my best friend's is tying the knot and my family and closest friends are all headed out for the festivities. my parents rented out the lavish casa cece and i literally can hardly wait to get there. word has it we will be greeted promptly with margaritas and a homemade mexican meal prepared by the in-house chef. i'll take it!

coming across these pictures the other day made me remember how much i used to covet linda evangelista's fiery red hair when i was younger. i started dying my hair when i was about 14, and it has been everything from black to platinum blonde over the years. but, i never mustered up the courage to go full on RED. now, with a little encouragement from my boyfriend, i am thinking of taking the plunge. i pulled a few of my all-time favorite redheaded looks and we are going to check out this wig salon over the weekend to get an idea of what i might look like.
what do you think, should i go for it??

i cannot believe i am going to miss out on this collaboration. how can houston not have an H&M?!?!
p.s.- i once sipped margaritas in a hammock on the beach in these photos. the secret spot? tulum, mexico. and it is every bit as beautiful in person as it is in the pics.

"Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond all measure. It is our light, not our darkness that frightens us. We ask ourselves who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not help the world any. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that others won't feel insecure around you. We were all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us. It is not just in some, it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. And as we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
